Thailand

Thailand was an amazing adventure that I am choosing to show you in pictures that can be found in the drop down menu.  On this page i will give some links to places we stayed and fun adventures we went on.

We spent two weeks in this beautiful place, two nights in Bangkok at the Chatrium Riverside with a private trip booked with Sun Leisure World Tours to the Damnoen Floating Market, the Train Market and about 11 miles of walking through the city exploring.

Next we flew to Chiang Mai for three nights at the Chiang Mai Gate Hotel, nothing fancy but nice pool and close to market. We did an evening Street Food Tour make sure to not eat much during the day, we made this mistake and got so full we couldn’t try all the food on the tour. The highlight of Chiang Mai was our visit to the Elephant Nature Park (please avoid any places that allow you to ride on the elephants).

The last week was spent in Ko Lanta at the Chada Resort and Spa, I recommend splurging for the Gold Suite Rooms with pool access so you can step from your deck into the pool! Sadly the King passed away while we were there and the nation was in mourning. This caused most places to close for a few days and then we ended up with a big rain storm.  So we were not able to do the tours we had planned or go diving. We still had a nice time but I will go back again, this time in peak season even if it costs more, to get sunshine.  We were able to get on a longboat tour for some snorkeling which was really nice, did some shopping in old town, took a cooking class and ate at some lovely local restaurants.

Definitely will go back and dive here one day!
