New Home, New Neighborhood, New Experiences

Well its official I have moved out of the city to the suburbs. Dang Seattle, why are you so expensive. Anyway, it was a good thing…saving money, which means I can pay off debt and still vacation:)

My BFF Jacs is amazing and opened her house to Ash, Fennie and Me.  We were able to get away from my annoying neighbors and for the first time in a year I am actually getting a good nights sleep and my room does not smell like pot:)

We have started to explore the hikes in this area, nothing to extensive, just some of the trails in the parks around here.  The first one we found is a short one, a simple mile loop called the North Creek Trail. It takes you around a cute pond and is a mix of trail and boardwalk (three times around makes for a good walk). I should say that technically this was the second trail we found but the first one we tried was so muddy that Fennie did a faceplant in the mud and was covered head to toe…I wish I had taken a picture:)  This weekend we went back to the trail, the Japanese Gulch trail in Mukilteo (much less mud this time).  What a fun loop! The trail is through the woods with lots of tree roots and some easy hills.  The loop is about 3 miles, at least the one we went on. I think there are different trails you can take throughout as well. There was a point where we thought we might be lost and were trying to figure out if we were capable of building a tree fort and foraging for food…thankfully we found our way out because we had come to the conclusion that we would probably not have been successful.
